Renée's mother, Lucienne, who appeared to live at the same address did all the cooking for the airmen.
Renée Weigel was arrested for sheltering evaders on 9 June 1944 & deported to Sarrebruck Neue Bremm on 3-4 July 1943, then transferred to Ravensbrück. Serial number 47185. She was liberated on 13-15 April 1944. In poor health, she was taken to a sanatorium in Switzerland, by the Red Cross, to recover.
