Besides Possum, André Lacombe was a member of a number of other resistance organisations, involving sabotage and intelligence gathering on the rail system.. Suzanne Lacombe, with her knowledge of English, acted as interpreter and liaised between the various resistance groups in Reims and Fismes. They sheltered up to eight airmen, but these are the only names that are known:

The Lacombes were arrested on 20th December 1943. According to William Chapman (USAAF) they were arrested on suspicion of sabotaging the locomotive repair depot in Reims. André was deported to Wöbbelin, a satellite of the Neuengamme camp, on 8th May 1944 and worked in the Fallersleben-Laagberg Kommando (forced-labour camp). He was repatriated on 26th May 1945. Suzanne was deported to Sarrebrück Neue Bremm, then Ravensbruck, where she lost the sight in one eye. She was repatriated on 9th May 1945.
