In April 1943, before Possum was established, the Chandelots had sheltered Wally Lashbrook (RAF - SPG/1264) for two days.
Val Johnson (RAF) and Fred Murray (USAAF) were taken by René Serpe to the Chandelots, where they stayed for ~24 days, arriving ~17th/21st October and leaving ~9/13th November 1943. Rémi Chandelot then took them by horse and cart to Raymonde Beuré in Reims.
According to Marcelle Georgeton, she passed on Charles Bronner and Bill Dunning (USAAF) to the Chandelots.
They also sheltered six U.S. airmen (names unknown) for an evening in November 1943.
Lea Chandelot was arrested, with Mme. de Kaegel, on 8th June 1944. On 20th June 1944, she was deported to Sarrebrück then Ravensbrück, but survived and was liberated on 2nd May 1945.
