On ~17 October 1943, with the Germans making house-to-house searches he moved them, plus Arthur Whalen and Herbert Browning (USAAF) to a cave.
After 3-5 days, he moved Robb & Darling to the chateau of Comte Joseph de Bury (near Savigny).

Chef de Bureau. Brother of Raymond Gallet. It was through Maurice that he established contact with Edgard Potier. While establishing routes for airmen to cross from Belgium into France, Raymond was accompagnied by his brother who, because of his job, was able to provide an alibi. Robert Lhuerre worked with the Bar-le-Duc resistance group. On 19th October 1943 Jules Brion and Lhuerre escorted Vernon Clark, Charles Bronner & William Dunning (USAAF) by train from Bar-le-Duc to Sillery. Lhuerre, Bronner & Dunning stayed there with the station master (Roger Mangenot), while Brion & Clark carried on to Reims. On 14th November 1943, Lhuerre had planned to escort Everett Childs, William Howell & Jay Jolley (USAAF) by train from Bar-le-Duc to a small local station, but missed the stop & arrived in Reims after curfew. Lhuerre hid the airmen, while arranging someone (Jean Lorgé) with a car to collect them. Reference - Raymond Picon mentions a Robert Luher. This is a misspelling of Lhuerre.
