Pierre Courtadon was associated with a number of resistance groups in Paris - OCM, réseau Alliance, "groupe de résistance de la Mairie du 18ème arrondissement". They passed evaders on to him and he procured identity cards and clothes for them, and organised the safe-houses. Courtadon did not shelter any airmen himself.
Joseph Kenny and James Gillman (RAF) were sheltered by the Campion and Recoule families and a US airman was sheltered in the St Cloud area of Paris.
After the arrest of the Recoule family, as a precaution, Courtadon destroyed all information on his activities and the family went into hiding.
